Hyundai India has announced that it has crossed the Creta’s 40,000 marks. It is a feat for the company that the car was launched just before the country went into lockdown mode as the virus epidemic is underway.
Hyundai India has achieved 14,000 pre-booking figures for the second generation Creta even before its launch. At the same time, Creta got 20,000 bookings after its launch in May. The company got the next 10,000 bookings in June and now Hyundai Creta has crossed the 40,000 bookings mark.
The diesel variants of Hyundai Creta have the highest number of bookings and its diesel variants have received 67 percent of the total bookings. Petrol variants have received 33 percent bookings.
Hyundai Creta Features
The 2020 Hyundai Creta has been introduced in 14 trim levels – E, EX, S, SX and SX (O) with 14 variants and comes with three engine options. It has the first 1.5-liter petrol engine that generates a torque of 113 bhp and 144 Nm. This engine comes with an IVT automatic transmission. The 1.4-liter GDI turbo petrol engine generates 138 bhp and 242 Nm of torque and comes with a 7-speed DCT transmission. Apart from this, the given 1.5-liter diesel engine generates a power of 113 bhp and torque of 250 Nm. This engine is equipped with a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. All three engines have 6-speed manual transmission standards.
The Hyundai Creta is the company’s best-selling car. It became the best-selling car in the country in May 2020 and it was the first time a different car was seen from a Maruti Suzuki car. However, as soon as May came, Maruti Suzuki again occupied the top position with Alto sales.
There was a slight difference between the Hyundai Creta and the Alto, which led to the second place and it only indicates that the trend for SUVs in the country is strong.
